Hypnotherapy for Phobias

A phobia is an intense and irrational fear towards an object, event or animal that causes an adverse psychological and physical reaction.  The physical reactions are similar to having a panic attack, such as a racing heart, shaking and excessive sweating.

The physical sensations can start even before being confronted by the object of fear; it could be that hearing the word or looking at a picture can be enough to activate the stress response.  For example, for a person with a phobia of flying, it could be that walking past a travel agent is enough to make their palms sweat.

The physical sensations are often accompanied by thoughts and images, making this a frightening experience and, understandably, one you would try to avoid!

However, avoiding situations limits your life, so that’s far from ideal!  Similarly, you may have employed ‘safety behaviours’, such as drinking alcohol before public speaking or checking under the bed for spiders.

These techniques don’t work and can cause the problem to intensify over time, which you want to avoid.

How Can You Treat A Phobia?

Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT) is a hugely successful therapy for working with phobias and provides fast results.  Through the power of Hypnosis, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), you can access the subconscious mind and unravel how you developed the phobia causing you so many problems.

When you understand how intense fear manifests, new healthy ideas can replace any outdated beliefs.  The specialist techniques of this therapy provide outstanding results which are fast and permanent.  Evidence supports that using CBT along with Hypnosis provides more successful outcomes than using hypnosis alone.

RTT Hypnotherapy works for any phobia; complete the contact form below if you want to learn more.
